Support

Stuck, found a bug or have an idea? Email feedback@coachyard.app. A real person (the dad who made it) reads every message.

When you write about a problem, it helps to include your phone model, iPhone or Android version, and what you tapped just before it went wrong.

Getting started

  1. Load two videos. Tap ADD VIDEO to pick a swing from your phone, or RECORD to film one. Do it for both panels.
  2. Find the same moment in each. Tap a video to select it, then turn the wheel at the bottom to step it to a point you can match, for example bat on ball. Do the same for the other video.
  3. Lock them. Tap the padlock above the wheel. Now stepping, scrubbing and playing move both together.
  4. Compare. Step frame by frame, play in slow motion, draw lines and angles, mirror or zoom.

Common questions

Does it work with slow-motion video?

Yes. You can lock a slow-motion clip to a normal-speed clip, and CoachYard keeps them in step in real time.

Are my videos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything stays on your phone. See the privacy policy.

Why is there no sound when I record?

CoachYard records video only. It doesn't need the microphone, so it never asks for it.

How do I get rid of my videos?

Videos you recorded or saved to Photos stay in Photos until you delete them there. The copies inside CoachYard are removed when you delete the app.

Can I use it for golf, softball or other sports?

Yes. Anything you can film works. Baseball and softball swings are what it was made for.
